Celery Juice: A Nutrient Dense, Disease Fighting Super-Juice

The ability for food to be our medicine, when looking at intensive studies done by reputable Universities and published by respected journals, is truly amazing. All around us we have evidence of vegetables preventing and curing diseases and ailments, and enriching the lives of all who seek to use them (without any side effects).

Celery juice is no exception. For so many years I took this vegetable for granted, as it has some of the most potent healing powers of any vegetable.

This crisp, light, hydrating, yet somehow hearty snack that’s delicious with some peanut butter or on a salad harbors medicinal qualities up the yin-yang. It is recently being proven by numerous studies that when juiced, celery is one of the most reliable cancer cures around, it combats over six types of cancer, and stops tumor growth in its tracks.

According to an article titled “Celery may help kill cancer” published by Natural News, a compound found in celery juice (and many other vegetables, but it’s found in high concentrations in celery), called apigenine is cancer’s worst nightmare. The article highlights several studies performed by America’s National Cancer Institute, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a journal called Molecular Cancer, and the University of Missouri, all proving this compound’s ability to stop tumor growth and fight cancer cells.

Celery juice contains vitamins A, C, D, E, and K, riboflavin, niacin, vitamins b6, folate, pantothenic acid, choline, betaine, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, sodium. It has low concentrations of zinc, iron, copper, manganese, selenium, and fluoride, according to Self Nutrition Data.

According to Juicing For Health, some of its amazing health benefits include hydration and electrolytes, it lowers high cholesterol, combats several different types of cancers, provides constipation relief, and it is a diuretic. These properties help the body to get rid of toxins and fluids that have been building up in the body. Celery juice helps fight inflammation, promotes kidney function, lowers blood pressure significantly, benefits the nervous system (very calming, sedative effects and can help people with insomnia), breaks up kidney stones and promotes decalcification throughout the body, and can help you lose weight.

The list of positive health benefits goes on and on!

The fact that this information has been withheld from us as a society, and not broadcasted for the world to know proves that the pharmaceutical industry has a motive to keep “customers” coming back. Celery juice is an easily accessible, and the plant easily grow-able. (You can even regrow celery in a jar of water, completely free.)

That just doesn’t work with Big Pharma’s agenda.

But fortunately the only thing we have to do to take action is spend two dollars at the grocery store for some organic celery, and let your juicer and nature do the rest.
