In more tropical parts of the world, there is a lovely fruit that goes by many names. In English we know it as Soursop, or Custard Apple. It’s a bright green colored, spiky fruit with a sweet taste and, let me tell you, it is jam packed with nutrients.
Soursop juice contains vitamin A, C, D, E, K, and small amounts of b’s 6 and 12. It contains thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, and choline. Some of the minerals it contains are calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper, and selenium, according to Self Nutrition Data.
There has been a whole lot of chatter about soursop juice’s anti-cancer properties, though unfortunately human studies have not been conducted. But, there are many studies that have been done in labs, taking cancer cells and soursop’s nutrients, which show very promising results in the field of cancer research.
An article titled “Guyabano Health Benefits – Revealing Medicinal Properties of an Exotic Fruit” (Guyabano – one of Soursop’s many names) published by Natural Society, highlights several studies on the fruits remarkable ability to prevent, fight, and kill cancer cells.
Soursop juice has the ability to aid those dealing with parasites, inflammation, respiratory distress, stress and anxiety, skin problems and external injuries, cancer, low immune system, gastrointestinal problems, according to an article titled “Health Benefits of Soursop” published by Organic Facts.

Imagine the benefits you could reap by cold-press juicing this fruit. The phytonutrients, so readily available for use, would be mainlined straight to your blood stream to be immediately put to use!
Unfortunately, there are some negative properties to soursop, which is why you should only consume it medicinally, for the treatment of ailments, under the supervision of a professional. If you consume too much, it is known to cause neurological disorders that are similar to Parkinson’s disease.
That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t investigate further, especially if you’re suffering from something that could be cured by something as simple as a glass of this juice per day.
There are many fruits and vegetables that most of us have never heard of. After researching many of these, I’m beginning to believe they are purposely being hidden due to their incredible health benefits and medicinal qualities. As much as I want to believe that there isn’t a sinister plan to keep us unhealthy, almost daily I am led to believe otherwise. If we all knew how to keep our immune systems healthy and nurture them with food so they fight off disease on their own, we wouldn’t have such a need for pharmaceuticals, would we?
Just as with any treatment you choose for an ailment, it is always wise to consult with a professional. Though the internet provides seemingly limitless information, and sometimes makes it seem like you can cure yourself, it is never smart to take that chance on your own. Choosing a natural path through disease is a great way to go, and certainly has cured people in the past. Though it may seem like you can simply do it from home without help, it’s not something you should do. Don’t gamble your life over the assumption that you have the magic cure.
